Weight Optimization: Gram by Gram
Every gram counts in aerospace and EV architectures. A heavy harness reduces range and payload capacity. Our engine finds the perfect balance between wire gauge (driven by thermal limits) and path length.
The Splice Problem
Moving a splice point by 10 centimeters can drastically alter the total mass of the harness, depending on the number of wires joining that node. Human engineers typically place splices in 'convenient' locations (like near the main firewall passthrough). AI AutoWire calculates the mathematical center of mass for the circuit network to place the splice exactly where it uses the least copper.
| Vehicle Type | Avg Base Harness Mass | Avg AI Reduction |
|---|---|---|
| Sedan EV | 45 kg | 6.2 kg (13.7%) |
| Commercial Truck | 80 kg | 9.5 kg (11.8%) |
| Motorsport (LMP) | 12 kg | 2.1 kg (17.5%) |
